How I started
I’m Mandy Morroni, a self-taught painter specializing in bold abstract and vintage-inspired landscapes using mixed media. My fascination with interior design and my love of color and texture are central to my creative process. Whether it’s a wash of earth tones or a bold splash of color, I believe art can transform a space and evoke deep emotion — which is why it’s the heart of everything I create.
Where I draw inspiration
Living near Philadelphia with my husband and three children, I first discovered my love of contemporary abstract art during my years at home with the kids. I found myself exploring ways to bring vibrant colors and unusual textures into our own home, and what started as a personal project grew. Friends and family began asking for pieces, and my work quickly became part of their homes.
How I like to spend time
“Art can transform a space and evoke deep emotion.”
I still find inspiration in everyday life — a morning walk, the weave of a fabric, the way light moves across a room over an afternoon. Those details are what I’m chasing in the paint. Through the work I hope to hand some of that beauty on, the way making it does for me.
